Barcelona closed the gap with Real Madrid to just five points last night in a 5-3 win against Granada that saw Messi score a hat trick to become the highest ever scorer for the club. According to Crunch Sports:
Messi’s three goals saw him break Cesar Rodriguez’s record of 232 goals for the Blaugrana as he moved on to 234 goals for the club at the age of just 24.
Xavi and Tello also scored one each. Real madrid face Villarreal tonight to give them the chance to open up the gap again with the Catalans.
